Welcome to my Previnex Joint Health PLUS review.
Can this natural product help with arthritis? Can it relieve you of stiff and achy joints? Is it a worthy alternative to more aggressive things like medications?
I answer this in-depth here. First, I want to start with a brief summary.
Previnex Joint Health Plus Review Summary
Previnex Joint Health is a simple joint supplement. It may give you a slight relief from joint pain, if that is your main issue. However, it lacks core ingredients like curcumin, MSM, and omega-3s. This makes it fall behind market leaders for me. For $37.95 per bottle, it’s not the worst option out there, but I believe you can find better with a little research.
What is Previnex Joint Health PLUS?
Previnex Joint Health PLUS is a dietary supplement for joint pain and joint problems.
You can buy it over the counter (OTC), on the official website and Amazon.
It consists of two ingredients. The manufacturer says multiple times these ingredients are “proven” to help with different things related to joint health.
To see if that is really the case, I decided to investigate the information about this supplement a little further.
When and How to Take
Previnex Joint Health Plus’ dose is one capsule daily. With a meal if you can.
Ingredients Talk
The ingredients in Previnex Joint Health PLUS include:
- Eggshell Membrane (500 mg)
- Boswellia Serrata Extract (100 mg) (containing 20 mg Boswellic Acids)
Just two ingredients. Let’s take a closer look.
- Eggshell membrane is not the most common ingredient in joint supplements. The membrane inside of egg shells contains collagen and other compounds thought to be beneficial for joints. It holds potential for relieving joint pain and stiffness.
A study using eggshell membrane found an improvement in knee osteoarthritis symptoms. But it was funded by manufacturers of the eggshell membrane supplement used in the study.2
- This leaves us with only one other active ingredient in Previnex Joint Health Plus – Boswellia Serrata. This one is a good choice. Boswellia is shown in studies to be anti-arthritis and effective for joint pain and stiffness.
The only problem is, however, the dose of 100 mg per day is far below the amount used in studies, which is between 2400-3600 mg per day, or 100 mg only in the case of patented Boswellia extracts which have high concentrations of AKBA (key boswellic acid).2 Previnex Joint Health Plus doesn’t have this.
So, does Previnex Joint Health Plus Work?
The answer is that it may work to an extent. You might see less pain and stiffness. Don’t expect miracles, though.
My opinion is that such a low dose of Boswellia, coupled with the understudied eggshell membrane, is not enough to give you concrete, lasting benefits. The claims on the product’s website sound promising, but it’s missing many important ingredients to be able to provide an effect anywhere close to that.
Some of the ingredients it could benefit from include MSM, type-II collagen, ginger, curcumin, bromelain, and omega-3s.
Is Previnex Joint Health Plus Safe?
It should be very safe for most people. The upside to having only 2 ingredients (and in relatively small dosages) is the risk of side effects is low.
In some cases Boswellia (possibly in doses much higher than here) led to stomach pain and acid reflux.
If you take any medications, do consult with your doctor before taking any supplement.
What do Others Say?
Previnex Joint Health Plus is under the radar. Apart from some product reviews on the official website and a few dozen of Amazon testimonials, there’s not much else on the web.
The problem with having such a small sample size of reviews is the possibility of fake reviews and unrealistic expectations. With that said, Previnex Joint Health Plus has great ratings online, with 4.5/5 stars on Amazon. Let’s look at a few;
“I ordered this for my husband who has painful joint pain. He really likes this and tells me it does lower the threshold of pain.to bearable.” – Whitney W. (Amazon)
“Okay, I didn’t notice a big difference like I do with Bone Broth or [another supplement] so I used it along with as extra supplement but not something I need to use again.” – Silvi (Amazon)
“My wife has for sure noticed an improvement in her day to day life after taking these supplements and I am glad to have helped her. I recieved this product at a discount in exchange for my fair and unbiased review. I am not required to give positive reviews, however, because this product performed wonderfully as my wife has told me, I am writing one because Previnex is a wonderful company with a wonderful product.” – Lawson (Amazon)
How Much Does It Cost?
A one-time purchase of Previnex Joint Health Plus is $37.95 per bottle (28 servings).
You can get it for less—$34.15—is you subscribe to recurring product delivery.
Final Notes
Previnex Joint Health PLUS is a product with some decent ingredients. It may help you with joint problems to an extent. The question you may ask is: “is it worth $34-38 for less than a month’s worth of servings?
I would say “no”. For a similar price you can find more potent natural products. And if you have the money, you can find supplements with far more comprehensive ingredient profiles with a little research.
