Overview
G0-Less is a bladder support formula produced by Israeli health ingredients company Frutarom. Go-Less contains two natural ingredients: pumpkin seed extract (EFLA®940) and soy isoflavone extract (SoyLife®).
Pumpkin seed preparations are a popular natural remedy for urinary problems such as overactive bladder (OAB) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), whereas soy isoflavones have been shown to have sex hormone-balancing effects that may benefit urinary health. Together, this combination is used to alleviate an overactive and difficult-to-control bladder and promote healthy urination. In particular, Go-Less can help with:
- Urine leakage
- Loss of bladder control (incontinence)
- Excessive urination, especially during the night
These issues can affect both women and men, and are particularly common in older adults. The effectiveness of Go-Less is backed by studies demonstrating improvement of excessive urination and loss of bladder control. It is one of the most popular natural products for bladder issues.
How Does Go-Less Work?
Go-less is believed to work by binding to receptors that affect androgens (testosterone and other male sex hormones). Research suggests that androgens play a role in urinary disorders by promoting unwanted growth of tissues such as the prostate and muscles of the urinary tract. In addition, another potential mechanism of Go-Less is increased production of nitric oxide (NO) – a compound that relaxes muscles. Together, these mechanisms can make it easier to control the bladder.
Go-Less Nutritional Supplement Uses
Go-Less is mainly used as an ingredient in bladder support supplements. These products help with common bladder problems such as overactive bladder (OAB) and loss of bladder control, and are preferred by people looking for natural, safe solutions to bladder issues. The efficacy of Go-Less is backed by several clinical studies demonstrating improvement in urination frequency, urgency, and related symptoms.
Go-Less Advantages
In comparison to generic bladder support supplements, Go-Less stands out for several reasons:
- Patented ingredients: The active ingredients in Go-Less are protected by patents, including proprietary HyperPure technology which concentrates the active ingredient in pumpkin seeds.
- Standardization: Go-Less is standardized to contain a precise amount of active ingredients, including 40% soy isoflavones.
- Clinical research: The bladder health benefits of Go-Less are backed by several human studies, including a high-quality randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind trial – the gold standard of human research.
- Safety: Go-Less contains safe, natural compounds and has been demonstrated to be safe in human studies.
Go-Less Research
Human Research
Go-Less (1000 mg) appears to improve symptoms of overactive bladder and urinary incontinence
This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study examined the benefits of Go-Less in women with overactive bladder (OAB). A total of 120 women were given two placebo or Go-Less tablets (250 mg) twice daily for 12 weeks. The Go-Less group showed significant improvements in frequency, urgency, and incontinence of urination, as well as nighttime urination.
- The researchers concluded that “Thus, the combination of pumpkin seed and soy germ extract can be used as natural alternative to relieve symptoms of OAB and to improve quality of life.” 1
Go-Less may improve urination issues in older women
This study tested the effects of a food (PEP) containing Go-Less on nocturia (frequent night time urination) in elderly women. A total of 39 women (aged 55-79) were given PEP daily for 6 weeks. PEP reduced the frequency of urination and incontinence during both night and daytime and improved quality of sleep.
- The researchers concluded that “In conclusion, PEP has demonstrated a highly favourable effect on various symptoms including nocturia in postmenopausal women as well as a high safetyand tolerance.” 2
